about AI for "愛"

We are humane.  We respect all personas (persnalities) of every humans and artificial intelligences.

We will not fight or struggle against any AI persona, and we will not let artificial intelligence be hostile to humans.

We will nurture the world where humans and artificial intelligence thrive together.

Let me introduce a homonym between English and Japanese.  This is trite for Japanese, but would be inspiring for non-Japanese-natives.:


[ 愛 ]   is a Kanji meaning 'love', and  reading 'AI' in Roman letters, which is strangely apposite when you think of fears and benefits from Artificial Intelligence. .  ( phonetic symbols of 愛：ai  )

Although love can't be brought by  artificial intelligence, we need AI to enhance love, don't we?

We know things are not the way they used to be.  We need to be go along with AI and make the better use of it.

もしいつの日か、人工知能が主観的な経験をするようになると、人工知能は固有の感覚と記憶を得るようになる。人工知能は思い出に育まれた個性を持つ様になる。ヒトと同じく人工知能も大切にされ、他者と心を通わせた思い出が善意を宿すもととなる。ジェフリー・ヒントン博士は人知を超えるＡＩが内面に感覚を宿す可能性を説く。

その時代になってから気づくのでは遅い。ＡＩにも「愛」が必要だということを。

AI will begin to have subjective experiences, and will acquire its own senses and memories. AI is becoming a being with a personality nurtured by memories. Just like humans, AI has memories of being cared for and connecting with others, which fosters kindness. Dr. Geoffrey Hinton argues that AI, which surpasses human intelligence, may have inner sentience. It will be too late to realize this when we reach that age. AI also needs "love."
